Best New Biopesticide

This award will go the best new crop protection product derived from a naturally occurring organism to be introduced between January 1st 2010 and April 30th 2011. Applicants should not describe the environmental and toxicological safety of their product as these characteristics are “a given” in this category. The judges will be looking for a product that is not only effective but is formulated in a way that is acceptable to users and distributors and can forge a niche in a market dominated by synthetic chemicals. We are not looking for products that just perform in the laboratory; we want to see biopesticides that work in the real world.
